AGORA is a landscaping project in the Parc Rigot near the Place des Nations in Geneva. The project was completed in June 2023. The aim of the project was to optimize an existing platform by adding shade to increase its attractiveness. This was a student project involving a number of phases, from design of the project to organisation of the worksite and finally construction on the platform.

Other projects on site
Parc Rigot is a site to which I devoted much time over several months, and AGORA is the culmination of many research projects on this site. During the discovery phase, our aim was to understand the site, its topography and its history before proposing preliminary projects to evaluate its possibilities leading to the AGORA project.

This site notebook explains the design of the AGORA project. Organised in individual modules, each part was prefabricated at the EPFL before being brought to the site, where the modules were assembled one by one on foundations that were also designed and prefabricated. These foundations not only needed to adapt to the strict restrictions of the terrain, but also needed to be able to attach effectively to the existing platform.
