Ephemeral place of expression

_Plan 17.11.22 v2024_page-0001-min min.jpg

The archeological phase aimed to retrace the history of the site, to understand what it was like in the past and to see what remained. We discovered that an ephemeral theatre was built in 2015 and was then taken down in 2021. The ground it left behind was denatured, the six-year project having impacted the soil significantly. Using this ephemeral theatre as a reference, our project was to establish a place of performance that would have little impact on the ground. Not only was our project intended to embellish the "allée de maître", present since the foundation of the Parc Rigot, but it also aimed to reconnect with the history of the park and its fundamental characteristics, such as the position of the trees, the Villa Rigot and this ephemeral theatre.
