This project involved producing a "fragment" of a house around three factors: observation - investigation - understanding. A house illustrates a way of living and a way of building. The project involved thinking differently about how we live and how this affects the "fragment": it was not about façade or building, but about the meaning of the construction.

The fragment was expected to express an action verb and represent this verb in the design of the same fragment. The verb expressed in my fragment is ‘eating’, but what I decided to associate this verb with was the notion of rapid execution and not that of sitting down and eating quietly. I made this choice on the basis of what the verb “eat” represents in my eyes: a task, an action that must be carried out quickly. It is a definition that fits in with the life of a passionate student who neglects certain actions in everyday life. The way in which this is represented in the fragment is by means of numerous labyrinthine paths, largely inspired by Piranesi's Gothic Staircase.
